Anthea has years of experience playing for prestigious events, clients and venues. Her enormous repertoire demonstrates the versatility of the harp, with performances not only of classical music but pop, chart hits, jazz, rock, folk, film soundtracks and Bollywood. Her music suits all occasions, and Anthea is happy to learn new requests that favour your function.
Anthea's high demand has seen her perform at weddings, functions and orchestral concerts. She's played for the Royal Family, performed at the Royal Albert Hall and many other top concert venues like Royal Festival Hall, Cadogan Hall, Wigmore Hall and St John's Smith Square under many notable conductors. You may even have heard her on BBC Radio 3, BBC Manchester, S4C's Noson Lawen programme or on her SOMM recordings or seen her on Channel 4's 'Made In Chelsea'.
All of this should come as no surprise given her history. Anthea graduated with a Master of Arts degree from the Royal Academy of Music having already completed her undergraduate studies at the Royal College of Music. Before this, she studied at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester - a true artistic pedigree.
When she's not pouring on the romance as a wedding harpist, Anthea can be found around London, playing for high-profile clients and companies. The Ritz, the Langham, Sofitel, the Dorchester & the Royal Horseguards hotel have each enjoyed her company, not to mention the V&A, Kensington Gardens, Chelsea Flower Show and Windsor Castle!
Anthea will learn your first dance or a special request included in the booking to add that special something to your occasion. When it comes to amplification, Anthea usually works acoustically, but can plug her pick up into a venue's PA system for events with over 250 guests. If you're looking for a little extra, consider adding a flutist too. Be sure also to check out the range of line-ups, which can be reduced from the standard 2x50 minute sets to 1 or 2 hours.
